Tribe

Tribe is our personal development programme which uses nature and working in green space as a way of reconnecting with ourselves. The 6 or 8 week programme progressively builds, incorporating wellbeing toolkit development, using creative health activities alongside group and individual work to build confidence, experience peer support and build a Tribe.

Our facilitators are all Wilderness Therapeutic Approaches qualified and bring a wealth of professional and personal experience and knowledge to programme delivery.

We have used this course as a vehicle for progression into education, employment and training and also as a mental health and suicide prevention strategy with funding through European social Fund, UKSPF and Barnsley Mental Health innovation funding..

We have delivered both mixed gender and female only cohorts which offer a bespoke environment that meets participants needs.

 

Personal Development Programme

This programme focuses on exploring wellbeing and ways we can build our own wellbeing toolkit to support our mental, physical, and social health.
We use re-connection with nature and green space as a way of developing wellbeing. We also use group discussion and activities to look at ways to build our support networks and create a toolkit to keep us well.
Each session starts with us having breakfast together and having a chance to relax into the space before we start the session.
We also explore any behaviours, thoughts and habits that no longer help us and use activities to ritually release those. Feeling less weighted down we can then work together to look forward, recognise our strengths and plan the next steps in our personal journeys. .
